Music Ministry
Nancy Chronister has recently joined us as the Minister of Music and organist at Ascension. Nancy holds a BS in Music Education from West
Chester UNiversity and has had a very active career in music. She has taught grades K-12 in both public and private schools, is active in musical
theatre, teaches private piano lessons and has been an assistant director of music at Christ UCC in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Nancy is on the staff for
Delaware Valley Chorale based in Wilmington, Delaware, and has been accompanying at Montgomery County
Community College. She and her family live in Norristown, PA.
Senior Choir—Our Senior Choir leads our worship services on Sunday mornings, and presents two cantatas during the church year. We meet on Thursday
nights at 7:30 pm to rehearse a wide variety of anthems and again on Sundays at 10:30 am to prepare for worship.

Children's Choir—The Children's choir meets on Sundays at 9:15 am to sing and ring! Learning both contemporary worship songs and
traditional children's anthems, along with handbell rehearsal keps us all busy on Sundays before our faith formation classes. The
children's choir helps lead worhip on the 2ndSunday of the month.
Handbells—Ascension UCC has been blessed with a 3 octave set of Schulmeric handbells. The Bell Choir meets on Thursdays at 6:30 pm for rehearsals.
