Service Time:

Dear Friends,

After much prayerful consideration concerning the continuing progressing events around COVID-19, Ascension Church will not have worship services tomorrow, March 15th and Sunday March 22.

For the following two Sundays worship will look different. Ascension will be live on Facebook at 11 am. You may follow the
Reformed Church of the Ascension, United Church of Christ on Facebook.

As previously communicated, all classes, activities and thriftshop will be closed through March 28th. We will continue to reassess the situation.

We pray that you will take all the necessary precautions during this time.

Please remember that each of us should be taking time for prayer and meditation for ourselves. May God help each of us through this difficult time. We encourage you to pray for those affected by positive tests, as well as our world and local community. We also ask that you would keep Ascension Church in your prayers.

If you would like to speak with someone, please feel free to contact me or the members of consistory by telephone or email.

In Christ’s love,
Pastor Dwayne

11:00 am (Memorial Day through Labor Day: 10:00 am)

The sacrament of Baptism is the outward and visible sign of the grace of God. Baptism with water and the Holy Spirit is the mark of acceptance into the care of Christ’s church, the sign and seal of our participation in God’s forgiveness, and the beginning of our growth into Christian faith and discipleship.

Communion  Sacrament of Holy Communion:

In the Sacrament of Communion we gather to celebrate the joyful feast of the people of God; men and women, youth and children. We believe in the breaking of the bread and the Cup of Salvation we experience the presence of Christ. At Ascension Church we celebrate open communion and invite everyone who professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to join us in this celebration.
